It isn’t anything new that a TV actor would want to jump at the first opportunity to join Bollywood. After Shahrukh Khan began his career on TV and went on to become the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’, many have followed suit. Some of the prominent names among those are Mohit Raina, Mouni Ganguly and Nandish Sandhu. A new addition to this list is television actor Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni.

After showing her acting chops in popular television serials like Jhansi Ki Rani, Tenali Rama and Paramavatar Shri Krishna; Aishwarya is planning her debut in Bollywood with a big banner venture, yet to be revealed. The movie boasts of some big names from the film industry and Aishwarya would be playing a pivotal role in it.

Born in Bhopal and schooled in Chhattisgarh, Aishwarya completed her Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. She gave up the prospects of a 9-to-5 job and decided to pursue her dream of becoming an actor after completing her degree. Thus, began her journey into the world of lights, camera and action!

She started with acting in Tamil videos and later auditioned for some popular TV shows before finding a breakthrough in the form of the titular role of Rani Rama Bai in TV serial ‘Jhansi ki Rani.’ From then on she went from one strong role to another while accumulating loads of experience as a professional. Speaking about the TV serial ‘Tenali Rama’, which Aishwarya joined at an interesting juncture, she says “I have been thoroughly enjoying my experience of working with the entire cast of Tenali Rama as they are very talented and supporting. Sugandha is here to bring a twist in everyone’s lives, and I am sure the viewers will enjoy watching what lies for them in the upcoming episodes.”

After gathering positive reviews from her critics and fans, Aishwarya walked into the world of web content with Zee5’s ‘Strugglers’. Her other attributes are that she is a trained Kathak dancer and has done stellar work in music video industry too.

For her consistently good performance as an actor, Aishwarya has been conferred with the DS Max Kalashree Award by the DS Max group!

Now, after becoming a household name through television, Aishwarya is ready to step into the Bollywood limelight!
