Fateh TV, India’s leading Sikh religious channel, has once again proved to be a responsible broadcaster amidst the most difficult time in the world – COVID-19 Lockdown! With people stuck inside their homes, nowhere to go, not even a walk down the neighborhood, turning to God has been the only thing that has kept them sane. Fateh TV offered its viewers “escape into the spiritual world’ with the live telecast from Gurudwara Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, New Delhi, daily through Live from 5 am to 8 am in the morning.

As per a report released by the Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC), the average daily reach of Fateh TV increased by a whopping 40% in the week 18 as compared to the pre-COVID-19 reach in week 10. It was during the live telecast from Bibi Kaulan Ji Bhalai Kender Trust, Amritsar and Bhai Daya Singh Ji, Ludhiana, aired between 2 pm and 6 pm, that the major viewership hike was recorded.

As soon as the live telecast began, the channel saw an upward trend in the viewership, which was explained because people cannot visit Gurudwaras due to the lockdown restrictions. The convenience of watching the “Daily Nitnem” (Special daily prayer) from the comfort of their homes also saw a big jump in the viewership of Fateh TV channel.

The channel also believes that the fact that no new shootings of regular TV shows are taking place, forcing the other channels to run repeat telecast of old episodes. This was another shot in the arm for Fateh TV as its most popular and iconic shows – Aye Mil Gursikh (Talk Show), Global E Camp (Electronic educational class) and Har Maidan Fateh (Conversations with Sikh Achievers) – returned to TV screens and the audience loved watching these once again.

Recent statistics are also putting Fateh TV among the top Gurbani Channels. The channel can be accessed on both cable as well as IPTV platforms. Fateh TV is available on JIO TV, NEXGTV, REAL TV, Tata Sky, Den Cable, FastWay Cable, etc and besides India, it is being telecast in the USA, Canada, Malaysia, UAE, Australia, Singapore and the UK.
