After having spent 10 years being a bass guitarist for a couple of Rock/Nu Metal bands, Sunny Deepak finally developed an understanding for music and today he is a popular DJ down South. Music being his first love, this maverick DJ has seen exponential growth in his popularity. These days he is making waves with his party remixes.
It is only wonderful that presently, the rampant growth of EDM music has made DJing a lucrative career option within and outside India. Sunny is riding the high waves thus!
But why DJ? When asked, Sunny said, “since I was 14 years old, music was something I wanted to pursue but never knew how it would pan out. I had a few 9-5 jobs in between but I was never happy about it. Today I’m happy I’m doing what I love and doing the best I can for my clients.”
However, it is not just parties that Sunny is playing at. He is also the official DJ of CHennaiyin F.C., the football clubs of Chennai in the Indian Super League. At the home matches there, he has played in a stadium full of 15,000 spectators. His skills with the console mean that he creates magic with remixes. He has already matched tunes with artistes like Monica Dogra and Shivani Dandekar, over the years, ensuring that his experience in the field remains remarkable.
Born and brought up in Chennai, DJ Sunny has so far performed in all the major cities of the country like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and, of course, Chennai, his hometown. Besides, he recently performed at the New Years 2020 event in Bangkok, organized by the ‘Thai Sindhi Association.’ From DJing, he has also evolved into professional music production for the past 5 years. In addition, he also makes audio remixes for pre-wedding video shoots, mashups, etc.
Among other achievements, he has also played for the Indian Army Unit in Chennai hosted by Bacardi House Party, for the famous South Indian actor Prabhu Shivaji Ganeshan’s 60th birthday celebrations in Chennai.
