Parag, while studying engineering, started working as an event planner and floor manager for a number of media events back in 2007.

The first thing you will notice about Parag Rawool is that he is a multi-faceted personality. Apart from being a well-known casting director for Indian television industry, he is an engineer by education and also runs his own media agency, “Team Aspiring.” This team consists of experienced media professionals belonging to every department of the entertainment industry. Despite gaining so much fame and success in his career so far, Parag doesn’t let himself forget that he entered this industry as a rank outsider.

You may wonder how, despite being an outsider, Parag took this route to career! Parag, while studying engineering, started working as an event planner and floor manager for a number of media events back in 2007. Speaking about his first brush with event industry, Parag says, “I was pursuing an engineering degree from Vidyalankar College in Mumbai. One day my classmate asked to come along for a media event, which was willing to pay us good. Being in a college, who wouldn’t want to make some extra bucks! That is how I started working in events. My college group helped me in completing my assignments whenever I got busy with this job.” That experience, that first brush with the glamour industry, which brought him an income, also developed in him a certain fondness for event planning.

Speaking about some of his early day assignments in the media, Parag recalls, “I was so overwhelmed by the whole media environment in general that it led me to believe that I can actually be a part of this world. That’s when I began working for “Just Dance” a dance show telecast on Star plus. I also got noticed by a few production houses. A few months later, I received a call from a production guy who offered me my first legit job as a floor manager. That’s how I started my journey in the film industry.”

Today, after a roller coaster ride of 12 years, Parag is today a Talent head, who is responsible for nurturing talents for such prominent channels of India like Zee TV, Star Plus, History TV18 and Colors. His track record boasts of more than a 100 promotional events pan-India as well as a number of ad shoots.

Parag is really thankful to destiny and hard work, as well as the timely support of the people around him. He mentions, “It was very difficult to start in this industry as I didn’t know anything about this industry or how it functions. Coming from a non-media industrial background also made it a bit tough in the beginning but later on, as I learnt more about my work, I found that there was no going back.”

It was a dream of a lavish lifestyle and becoming a multi-tasker that pushed Parag towards starting his own company, “Team Aspiring.” Their motto was “Team Work Achieves Dreamwork.”

His ongoing projects include Star Plus reality show “Taare Zameen Par” and he is also working on another ongoing reality show for Zee TV.

Great minds attain great heights and Parag’s journey in to the TV entertainment industry proves that.
