Everyone is talking, and no one is listening. Silence is fast becoming a plague; many don’t want to contract, so they immerse themselves in the ever-noisy world around them. And the noise isn’t getting any quieter.

The internet has made it close to impossible for people to live a quiet life. There is always something to talk about; a trending topic on Twitter or a picture on Instagram to comment on; we are all so busy.

Unfortunately, the busyness has not gotten us far. We are so saddled with so much that we have forgotten what matters.

In a world where the nosiest people seem to be the most popular and have what looks like success, quiet is an anomaly.

An anomaly that Rahul Saggu advises all young people and entrepreneurs to practice. Rahul opines that in the stillness of silence, can people truly find the meaning of their life. It is in that quiet place that they can communicate with the essence of their being.

Rahul is an international leader within iMarkets Live, a financial education platform that seeks to help people invest in the world’s largest financial markets. He has over 100 people within his network and has helped them grow their own online business and add income streams.

After losing his father in his mid-twenties, Rahul has stayed focused, breaking through walls and limitations. He has been able to move from the regular undergraduate student at Wilfrid Laurier to becoming the COO of Modern-day Cannabis, which he says will soon take over the whole of Canada.

According to Rahul, there are no secrets to success. The two important lessons he learned from his father were: Focus and stilling your mind..

When you spend considerable time with yourself enjoying the beauty of silence, you can come up with ideas that you can run with. The power of stillness is not lost on Rahul as he uses his quiet time to attune himself with his long-term goals and deep-seated values.

‘When you have discovered the idea, that thing you truly want to do, the next thing is to give it everything you have and dedicate your life to it,’ Rahul says about success as a young person.

“…sit down in a quiet place to still your mind and really focus on exactly what you want out of life.”

There is no success that anyone gets from the comfort of their comfort zone. Focusing on what you want from life is the only sure way to make something worthwhile.

Rahul says that he isn’t speaking from the materialistic side when he talks about success in life. Instead, success for him means living life on your own terms with the ability of doing what you want when you want. And also having inner peace and amazing relationships.

Desire and determination is a key ingredient for any form of success in any endeavour. People who are always dilly-dallying, changing from one idea to the next without giving each idea the time it needs to blossom will end up with ‘good ideas’ but no tangible success.

Rahul advocates for focus all the time if anyone wants to achieve success in business and life. For those who really want big success there is no work-life balance. He is a good example of someone who was focused even amid challenging circumstances. Rahul lost his father at 24 and 4 of his 5 best friends in a 9 year span. He threw himself into work and made the decision to go all into his goals. He has been in financial and real estate circles since his days at Wilfrid Laurier University. After University, joined VINE Group, built a solid team of more than a hundred people in iMarketslive, and recently became the Co-founder and COO of Modern-day Cannabis.
