Self-taught entrepreneur Vishal Jain is changing the rules of digital marketing
Today, as a 23-year-old, Vishal may have achieved unprecedented success in his chosen field of work.Updated: Jun 09, 2020 18:12 IST
Four years ago, Vishal Jain, an aspiring entrepreneur, dropped out of college because he was eager to try his inherent skills in the big, bad world of business, instead of slogging it out inside the classroom. Since then, Vishal has become the owner of six different businesses, each one a result of his hard work and perseverance. And that is why, he is epitome of someone whose dreams mattered the most to him!
Today, as a 23-year-old, Vishal may have achieved unprecedented success in his chosen field of work. However, he didn’t come here unprepared. Ever since he became aware of the social media and its power over the future, he felt motivated to study all the online trends, hone his skills and learn how to bypass obstacles. Speaking of his early experiences of creating new websites and selling his marketing services, Vishal says, “From making a website, to marketing businesses, to advertising my own services to attract clients, everything was self-taught.”
Vishal began working with platforms like Fiverr as a freelancer, where he became aware of the unique ways in which people marketed their services. He began as an eager student of the most famous social media marketing and designing services. In a short while, he saved enough dough to launch his own marketing agency, Sunshy Digital Media Agency. Things started looking up for him right after.
Not many 23-year-olds can boast of being their own boss, leave alone owning six companies at once – including Sunshy Enterprises, Sunshy Jewels, Realstagram and Social Media Marketing Specialist. These companies deal in industrial goods production, jewels, handcrafted jewelry and, of course, digital media industry. The will to follow his own dreams have made Vishal a millionaire today!
Speaking about his desire to start his own business instead of working for someone else, Vishal says with clarity, “Being an employee means slow growth and I didn’t want to be stuck in a rat race in order to just make a handful of money at the end of the day.”
As for a piece of advice for other aspiring entrepreneurs like him, Vishal has this to say, “Thinking that you need money to start a business is fine, but thinking you need someone to give it to you is not.”
In other words, you need to take matters in your own hands, if you want to realize your dreams! No one else is going to do that for you.
