Surat’s deputy mayor Nirav Shah initiates a plantation campaign “TREEVOLUTION” of 70000 trees for PM Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday
Nirav Shah believes that in recent years there has been a rise in transport and industries which have increased pollution in the city.
Biodiversity and green spaces have been something we must preserve for a better future. The deputy mayor of Surat, Mr Nirav Shah is contributing his best to make Surat a green city. On the occasion of India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday which is on September 17, the deputy mayor is all set to give the best gift of nature. A movement of tree plantation has begun from September 6 till September 17 by Mr Nirav and his team in Surat. “The aim is to make Surat green and clean city and to also eradicate pollution from the city”, says the mayor.
Nirav Shah believes that in recent years there has been a rise in transport and industries which have increased pollution in the city. “As PM Modi Ji will turn 70, we will be planting 70,000 trees across Surat and make people aware of the importance of biodiversity”, quoted Mr Shah. When asked the reason behind the plantation of trees in abundance, he revealed that the mission is to have equivalent trees as per the city’s population. By planting more trees, the levels of CO2 will decrease in the city and that’s how the deputy mayor plans to celebrate the 70th birthday of PM Modi.
With a step towards Green India, Nirav Shah plans to promote plantation across the country. A man of his words, the deputy mayor of Surat has always given his time in the development of the city as well as the nation. In his earlier stage as a chairman of standing committee (surat) gujarat, he was known for taking bold decisions and quick action in the favour of city. He has always helped and stood up for the development of the city. He hopes to make this world a better place to live in and this campaign of tree plantation acts as a game changer for the Surat city as well the Gujarat state. He further even revealed that on the occasion of World Environment Day last year, there were approximately 20 lakh trees all over the Surat city.
By doing such noble deeds, Nirav Shah is not just reducing pollution but is also contributing his best to nature. With this initiative of planting 70,000 trees, it seems that PM Modi will get the best birthday present from Nirav Shah. He is rightly setting an example for every citizen of the country and through this campaign, he wants every Indian to join and bring a green revolution in the country.
