Scholarships that make PG education in the UK a reality for Indians

Indian students preparing to enrol with a UK university can look at the following scholarships being offered by the British Council and other UK institutions:
GREAT Scholarships 2022-23
The GREAT Scholarships are one of the most popular options for Indian students looking for financial support to study in the UK. For the academic year 2022-23, there are 20 postgraduate GREAT Scholarships on offer for students from India, at 16 UK universities, across a variety of subjects like Finance, Marketing, Business, Psychology Design, Humanities, Dance and more.
Additionally, there are 7 GREAT Scholarships for Justice and Law on offer in partnership with the Ministry for Justice, for students from India who want to apply for a range of courses including human rights, criminal justice and commercial law, at one of the 7 participating higher education institutions.
Each scholarship is meant towards tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course and is worth a minimum of £10,000. Delivered by the British Council, in partnership with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, these scholarships offer students from India the opportunity to undertake well renowned postgraduate degrees from across the UK. British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM
These scholarships seek to raise more prospects for girls and women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Since 2018 British Council has enabled over 180 Indian women to pursue a master’s programme in STEM in the United Kingdom.
From over 100 scholarship opportunities announced this year, 65 scholarship spots are open for women STEM scholars from India and other South Asian countries alone! These will be awarded on merit basis with no country-specific cap and are aimed at enabling Indian women STEM scholars to apply for master’s courses and Early Academic Fellowships across the UK.

British Council Scholarships for English Teachers in India
For the academic year 2022-23, the British Council has announced six fully funded scholarships for English teachers from India to study at two of the best UK universities for postgraduate study of English language teaching. The scholarships have been created to empower English teachers working in or with the primary or secondary government schools in India. The scholarship will enable educators to understand how to use technology for better teaching and learning outcomes.
Out of the 6 scholarships, 3 are being offered for a face-to-face/full time MA programme at the University of Leeds. The other 3 scholarships are for the online/part time MSc programme offered by the University of Stirling, which will include a two-week fully-funded residential visit to the university as part of the programme. For both the face-to-face and online programmes, British Council is offering a full scholarship which will cover IELTS exam costs, tuition fees, stipend for living expenses, travel costs, visa costs and insurance.
