Who is Vedoci? What does Vedoci describe herself?
Ans: I am an artist, musician, and yoga practitioner. I am currently studying music and plan to study Expressive art, Sound healing and Music therapy
Have you always enjoyed singing? Do you think that being so young and having a completely unique education from the majority of us contributed to the artist you are today?
Ans: Yes, I have always loved singing. Singing has been a journey that has allowed me to discover who I am. But it was only in the last 2-3 years that I realized my love for singing. And yes, receiving a different kind of education has benefited me greatly in a variety of ways, giving me a sense of stability and assisting me in coping with the challenges I face. It has aided in making me feel closer to myself. My physical strength increased while studying in a natural setting. It has always served as a significant source of inspiration for my music.
When did you initially write a song, or when did you realise that this was what you wanted to do?
Ans: When I was 15, I wrote my first song for my father; it was then that I realized that this is what I should do after hearing my mentor tell me that I could be a good composer.
What is the creation story and how did Watersky come to be?
Ans: My own experience and the challenges I encounter every day served as inspiration for the creation. When I dive into my own Watersky and re-discover myself after experiencing my ups and downs, when I am depressed or when I am in a difficult situation, the journey I take on a daily basis, where we experience ups and downs like ocean waves, is the inspiration for the song.
Have there ever been times when you thought your ability to express yourself via music might be
Ans: I have a strong connection to music because of its beauty, which satisfies my desire for self-expression. My life has always been filled with music, which has helped me discover who I am and get over my problems.
What is your music-making process; do you usually make songs with the idea of putting them out there or is it a form of self-expression?
Ans: A word, a naturalistic element, a tune that appeals to me, or some other source of inspiration is what inspires me to create music. There are times when I just start singing and playing an instrument at random, and the music and lyrics eventually mesh. The basic structure is that I write the lyrics after I finish the melody, though it can also be done the other way around.
What role does mindfulness play in your musical Journey?
Ans: My music heavily incorporates mindfulness; when I'm in my own thoughts and in silence, I can access the essence of music. Music, as we all know, is a synthesis of sound and silence. We have such a beautiful way of playing with the silence that we can include someone else and still produce something lovely.
When we talk about healing music, we mostly talk about how the public likes it. Do you believe your music will be appraised more closely since it will be heard through various walks of life?
Ans: My music is an expression of who I am. My focus is on expressing my true authentic self, and I know that when you do that, a lot of people will connect with it.
