Indian brand wins international awardUpdated: Oct 16, 2020, 06:00 IST
Mithuna by Paul John has been declared the third finest whisky in the world by reviewer Jim Murray in his acclaimed “Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2021”, a statement by John Distilleries (JDPL) said. JDPL is a leading Indian spirits company, in which Sazerac Company, the largest family-owned distilled spirits company in the United States, is an active stakeholder.
The statement said this is the first Indian liquor brand to win this coveted recognition. A Canadian rye whisky which draws its water from the Rocky Mountains, Alberta Premium Cask Strength, has been declared the summit of all the world’s whiskies.
The 2021 edition of Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible marks the 18th year of annual publication.
