Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Thursday greeted the people of Punjab, especially Muslims, on the eve of Id-ul-Fitr. Badal said in his message here that the festival marked the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan and symbolised brotherhood, compassion and the spirit of sharing.

"May this festival strengthen our resolve to spread peace, harmony and mutual tolerance among the people of Punjab," Badal said in his message here.
Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and information minister Bikram Singh Majithia also greeted the people on the occasion.
