Premium bus service to start from Chandigarh in September

Luxury air conditioned Volvo and Mercedes Benz buses of Haryana Roadways will start operating on Chandigarh-Hisar, Rohtak, Rewari and Yamunanagar routes from September 1.
This is for the first time that this premium travelling service is being launched for these cities from the state capital. Chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda will formally launch the luxury service on September 1.
Director General, State Transport (DGST) Arun Kumar said that the luxury bus would start from Chandigarh at about 5 pm for Hisar and reach its destination at 9.30 pm. It would pass through Ambala City, Kaithal, Narwana. The bus would start from Hisar at 5.30 am and reach Chandigarh at 10 am.
Kumar said that for Rohtak, the luxury bus would start from Chandigarh at 5 pm and reach Rohtak at 9 pm, passing through Ambala Cantt, Pipli, Karnal, Panipat and Gohana. It would start from Rohtak at 6 am and reach Chandigarh at about 10 am.
For Rewari, the bus would start at 10 pm and reach Rewari at 5 am and would pass through Ambala Cantt, Pipli, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak and Jhajjar. From Rewari, the bus would start at 9 am and reach Chandigarh at 4pm, the DGST said.
Kumar said that Haryana Roadways would also launch its premium service from Chandigarh to Yamunanagar. The bus would start in the morning and would further go to Delhi and back in the evening. The fare of these buses would be 1.75 times of the fare for standard bus. The DGST said that a special feature of these luxury buses would be that it will be express service and would only pick and drop passengers for the intervening important places. For example, a passenger to Karnal, would travel after paying Rs200. Similarly, on the bus to Rewari, a passenger would travel up to Jhajjar by paying Rs450 and on the bus to Rohtak, a passenger would travel up to Gohana by paying Rs310, he said.
