Stolen motorcycle recovered, man held

The local police have arrested a person and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession here on Sunday. The accused has been identified as Sanjay alias Suraj, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Acting on a tip-off, a naka was laid in the residential area of Sector 44, headed by a team of the Sector 34 police station.

The police recovered Pulsar motorcycle bearing (CH01-AA2527) from the possession of the accused. The accused was produced before the court and was remanded to four-day police custody.

The police claim to have recovered a total of 12 motorcycles and solved six cases of chain snatching. With the arrest, a total of 18 various cases have been solved, police said.

To keep a check on the snatching incidents in the southern sectors, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) (south) Surjit Malik constituted a team to gather information.
