Chandigarh: 167 CHB properties to go under hammer from today

As many as 167 residential and commercial properties of the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) are set to go under the hammer, starting Friday.

In the previous auction which concluded on November 9, CHB was able to sell only 13 out 153 units, which included both residential and commercial properties.
A three-bedroom flat in Sector 63 had gone for ₹1.36 crore against its reserve price of ₹1.07 crore, while a 2BHK flat in the same sector was sold for ₹95 lakh against the reserve price of ₹72 lakh.
Of 95 commercial properties available on leasehold basis, only three found takers, while just 10 residential properties out of 58 on freehold basis could be sold.
CHB chief executive officer Yashpal Garg said, “Units shall be allotted to the highest eligible bidder, quoting above the reserve price. GST will not be applicable on consideration/premium of the unit.”

In order to submit e-bids, every prospective bidder is required to get himself/herself registered at https://etenders.chd.nic.in. A valid e-mail id, mobile number and digital signature are the basic requirements to participate in the e-Tender process, said Garg.
