Night temperature drops to 10°C in Chandigarh

The minimum temperature of the city continues to fall further as winter draws nearer.
On Monday, the night temperature slid further from 11°C on Sunday to 10.2°C, 3.1 degrees below normal and the lowest of the season yet.
As per IMD officials, the mercury is on the downturn due to cold Northwesterly winds blowing in the region. With no Western Disturbances (WD) expected in the coming days, temperature can fall further in the coming days.

The maximum temperature, meanwhile, rose from 28.3°C on Sunday to 29°C on Monday. This is 1 degree above normal.
Over the next three days, the maximum temperature will remain between 27°C and 28°C, while the minimum temperature will remain between 10°C and 11°C.
The city's minimum temperature has dropped to 10.2°C, 3.1 degrees below normal, marking the season's lowest. This decline is attributed to cold Northwesterly winds, with no Western Disturbances expected soon. Shimla recorded 8.8°C, while Kasauli was warmer than Chandigarh at 11.7°C. Maximum temperatures rose slightly to 29°C, above normal.
