Despite already having 27 cars for official purposes, the building and other construction workers' welfare board is all set to hire 30 more vehicles, the rent for which will be paid from the funds meant for the betterment of poor and underprivileged workers. Out of the 30 cars to be hired, 26 will be used by field officers and four by officials at the department headquarters.

Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar on Wednesday, claimed that former Karnataka CM and Congress leader Siddaramaiah is being "misled" to contest from Kolar, and he will lose if contests from that seat in the upcoming state assembly elections. After some part of the documentary was screened, the varsity authorities stopped the NSUI members from continuing it. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to give free rides to the invitees to the 74th Republic Day celebrations, scheduled to be held on Thursday at Delhi's Kartavya Path. Attendees will get tickets (coupons) that would allow them to travel for free to two stations near Raisina Hill, and Mandi House station. These coupons will be issued between 4.30 am and 8am. The government has put 32,000 tickets on sale online for the masses.

The video of rash driving followed by a spine chilling accident is viral on social media. The Karnataka police have been warning two-wheeler drivers who drive recklessly. The Enforcement Directorate has attached properties worth ₹76.54 crore, including Aam Aadmi Party's communication strategist Vijay Nair's house worth ₹1.77 crore in Crescent Bay, Parel (Mumbai), businessman Sameer Mahendru and his wife Geetika Mahendru's residential properties worth ₹35 crore in Delhi's Jor Bagh, among others in Delhi excise policy scam under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the agency said on Wednesday.

The police officer who investigated the murders of artist Hema Upadhyay and her lawyer Harish Bhambhani told a court on Tuesday that Atul Dahifade had not consulted an expert before claiming that the artwork of the prime accused, Chintan Upadhyay, reflected his mental state. This revelation came during his cross-examination by the defence lawyers. Chintan is Hema's estranged husband. On January 20, the officer was called for examination by special public prosecutor Vaibhav Baghade.
A group of miscreants snatched the official pistol of Bathinda police special staff in-charge Daljit Brar after a police vehicle hit a car near the Bathinda district administrative complex on Tuesday. Superintendent of police (investigations) Ajay Gandhi told reporters that the weapon was snatched from Brar's a home guard jawan, gunman Vijay Kumar. Bathinda senior superintendent of police J Elenchezian said as Brar was rushing to the district police headquarters, his vehicle hit another vehicle.
According to the charge sheet, on the day of the incident Poonawala attacked Walkar in a fit of rage since she had gone to see a friend in Gurugram against his wishes. The charge sheet also said that the accused used several weapons to dispose of Walkar’s body. The police had recovered a saw and some knives from the crime scene.
Deputy commissioner of police (south) Chandan Chowdhary said the incident occurred on Monday night outside a tuition centre run by AD Mahesh. At around 8.30pm, a man identified as Shishpal (25), who lived right opposite the tuition centre, came to the lane and started shouting and abusing passersby.
