Man killed in hit-and-run at Gurugram’s Rajiv Chowk intersection
The victim, a consultancy firm employee, suffered fatal head injuries after being struck while walking home; police are scanning for the unidentified vehicle.
A man was killed after being hit by a speeding car at the busy Rajiv Chowk- Delhi-Jaipur expressway intersection, police said on Monday.

The deceased, a Delhi consultancy firm’s employee, was identified as Ashish Kumar Pandey, originally from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, who lived with his family in a rented apartment in Shanti Nagar, Gurugram, police said.
Police have registered a case under sections 281 (rash and negligent driving) and 106 (death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The accident occurred on Sunday evening, when Pandey, an employee at Rodic Consultants Private Limited, Delhi, was returning from the office and walking down to his home. He sustained head injuries after being hit by an unidentified car and was rushed to the Medanta Hospital, Sector-38, where he succumbed to his injuries, the officer said. The police were alerted by the hospital, and the body has been sent to a mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Assistant sub-inspector Satish Kumar (Naharpur Rupa Police Post) said that a complaint was received from Pandey’s wife, Ranju Mishra, and that efforts are underway to identify the car and driver.
