Bundelkhand Expressway: Industrialisation to start from Banda, Jalaun
Banda and Jalaun districts along with the e-way have been suggested by an agency hired by the state government to identify industrial clusters along the 296-km Bundelkhand Expressway.
After the inauguration of the Bundelkhand Expressway, the state government has given its consent to U.P. Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to develop industrial clusters in Jalaun and Banda stretch of the expressway in the first phase of industrialisation along it.

An agency hired by the state government to identify zones at the 296-km Bundelkhand Expressway has submitted its report to the government suggesting Banda and Jalaun districts along with the e-way to develop industrial clusters.
The Yogi government has approved industrial clusters on both sides of the expressway. “In the first phase, Jalaun and Banda districts along the expressway have been selected for setting up industrial clusters,” said an official of the state government. Around 10 industrial sectors have been selected for which land will be allotted in Banda and Jalaun stretch of the expressway.
“The UPEIDA has been authorised by the state government to develop industrial hubs on both sides of the expressway. Work is going on at a rapid pace to execute the project,” said media spokesperson for UPEIDA Durgesh Upadhyay. “Industrial sectors have been selected for which land will be allotted,” he added.

Electrical and electronics, automobile and heavy engineering industry, engineering sector, food and agriculture, plant and organic material processing, textile and apparel, medical supplies and allied units, building material and allied units, logistics, packaging , warehousing and cold storage among other sectors.

With the construction of the expressway, the Bundelkhand region will be connected to the corridor of fast and easy traffic through Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Yamuna Expressway.
Various production units, development centres and agricultural production areas located in areas along with the expressway will be connected with the state capital and the national capital
Industrial training institute, educational and training institute besides medical institutes among others will come up near the expressway.
The expressway will act as a catalyst for setting up handloom industry, food processing units, storage plant, warehouse and milk-based industries.
