Vendors lose out in earning from fish waste

Punjab Agricultural University's (PAU) department of extension education and zoology has recently completed its two year survey on fish market trends being followed in the state. Five major cities of the state-Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Bhatinda- were included in the survey that brought forth several findings on production, procurement and how seriously fish waste is considered and used.

7,200 police personnel to be recruited in Haryana
As many as 7,200 police personnel, including 1,000 women, will soon be recruited in the state, Haryana Director General of Police Y S Singhal said today. This time, written examination will be a part of the recruitment process. Out of 100, 95 marks will be for physical test and written examination, while the interview will carry only five marks.
