Pune: Passengers have reported repeated delays by certain flights, including IndiGo’s Pune–Delhi service (6E 2285, scheduled at 8.40 am), on a daily basis since the past few days.
Morning flight delays spark anger among passengers
Sumit Agrawal, who travelled on Tuesday, said, “At Pune airport, the flight to Delhi, IndiGo 6E 2285 at 8.40 am, is getting delayed every day for three hours because the Air Force authority denies permissions between 9 am–11 am. Either it should not be sold, or please run it on time and there are people who have international flights to catch.”
Another passenger, Nitu Bapna, said that the airport authorities unnecessarily delayed the Delhi flight without any information.
Santosh Dhoke, director, Pune International Airport, said, “There have been usual delays, but nothing major in the past few days. There is no impact of fog on operations. We have issued instructions to the airlines to strictly maintain flight timing deadlines.”
