ICMR gets Centre’s nod to explore option of drones for delivering Covid-19 vaccines

The ICMR had filed an application in February seeking permission to conduct a feasibility study to deliver Covid-19 vaccines using drones. The government said that the medical research body will have to get clearance on its standard operating procedures (SOPs) from the DGCA.

Oxygen supply exhausted in 6 hospitals, 7 others have under 5 hrs left: Sisodia

In a letter to the Union health minister, Sisodia pointed out that six hospitals — Saroj Super Speciality Hospital, Shanti Mukund, Tirath Ram Shah Hospital, UK Nursing Home, Rathi Hospital and Santom Hospital, have exhausted their oxygen supply.
In his order, Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, who is also the chairman of the DDMA executive committee, said the Delhi Police would keep a record of the entry and exit of all oxygen tankers through various checkposts to monitor their movement.(PTI)

The move came hours after Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia alleged that the police in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana were blocking oxygen transportation to Delhi.

Karnataka government allots 400 crore for procuring 10 million vaccine

“Karnataka will procure 1 Crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine as we begin to inoculate citizens between 18 to 44 years from May 1. 400 Crores has been earmarked for this in the 1st phase," chief minister BS Yediyurappa tweeted.
