Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by three runs in their second Super Four match in the Asia Cup and kept their chances of qualifying for the finals in their own hands. Chasing 250 for win Afghanistan needed 8 runs off the last over but Mustafizur Rahman restricted them to just 4 to help team win. Hashmatullah Shahidi top scored for Afghanistan with 71. Afghanistan started their run chase in a disastrous fashion and lost couple of wickets in no time. Bangladesh finished their innings on 249/7 in 50 overs with Mahmudullah top scoring with 74 while Imrul Kayes remained not out at 72*. Aftab Alam was the star of the show for Afghanistan has he scalped three wickets in the innings. Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first against Afghanistan.
