7:47 AM IST With the series already in the bag, Australia Women will now look to complete a clean sweep in the 3rd and final ODI, scheduled for December 11th at 4:20 am GMT. Join us an hour early for the pre-match buildup. Until next time, cheers!
7:46 AM IST The victorious skipper of Australia Women, Tahlia McGrath says every batter at the top contributed and made life easy for the bowlers but the hundred from Georgia Voll was the highlight out of all. Credits Voll and says she played some brilliant drive and set the tone right from the front. Mentions that the intent was quite clear from Ellyse Perry as soon as she stepped out with the bat and she is one serious six-hitter. Closes by saying it was a difficult track to bowl on and bundling out the opponents shows the class of her bowling unit.
7:43 AM IST The losing skipper of India Women, Harmanpreet Kaur says the total was a massive one and despite a few partnerships in the middle they couldn't go deep and lost eventually. Adds that they created a lot of opportunities but failed to make the most of them but credits Australia Women for displaying a phenomenal performance. Closes by saying the batters need to convert those 30s and 40s to big totals and the bowlers need to be more disciplined.
7:41 AM IST Ellyse Perry IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Perry says it felt completely different to the first game. Adds that the foundation laid from the batters at the top was brilliant and the track looked flat and good to bat on. Mentions that the bowlers did an excellent job as the surface offered nothing to the bowlers. Reckons that it is all about making the most of the opportunities offered as Georgia Voll scored a century and her inning set the tone right for the other batters to follow. Closes by saying that they have got the right bowlers and batters to mix-up on any surface and in any conditions.
7:37 AM IST Stay tuned for the presentation.
7:37 AM IST Batting first, Australia Women amassed a staggering 371, thanks to a maiden ODI century from Georgia Voll and another century from ever-so-reliable Ellyse Perry. Phoebe Litchfield chipped in with a valuable 60, while Beth Mooney scored a half-century. India's bowling struggled to contain the Australian batting unit, with Saima Thakor taking three wickets and debutant Minnu Mani claiming two.
