Owen’s start put the Hurricanes well ahead of the curve. The partnership between Chaudhary and Ben McDermott looked to be running away with the game, but once that stand was broken, Sydney were able to chip away at the wickets. However, the quick cameos that followed ensured the required run rate was never much of an issue. It became a matter of batting sensibly to take the team over the line.
