3:44 AM IST Heinrich Klaasen, the captain of Seattle Orcas is up for a chat. He says that it was a disappointing season overall. Adds that last season they were in the finals because they played good brand of cricket but they couldn't replicate that. Mentions that the bowlers did well throughout the season but the batters didn't step up. Says that the total was a bit below-par and they should have gotten more with the start they got from QDK. Praises his fellow countrymen and says that he still has a lot of years left in him and he will be looking to have a chat with him about his early retirement.
3:43 AM IST Finn Allen is the Player of the Match for his scintillating knock with the bat. He credits the bowlers for bowling well in the first innings. 3:35 AM IST The Presentation ceremony…
3:35 AM IST Earlier in the innings we saw the San Francisco Unicorns get a strong start with the quick wickets by Carmi le Roux only to be put under pressure by Quinton de Kock who unleashed an array of boundaries onto them. However, it was the Unicorns who dominated the middle phases courtesy of disciplined bowling by the bowlers. With the quick loss of wickets, the Orcas couldn’t get as many runs on the board and got to 152. QDK was the pick of the batters while Hassan Khan was the star bowler with his three wickets.
3:34 AM IST Hassan Khan, the spin wizard from the San Francisco Unicorns is up for a chat. He says that Heinrich Klaasen was a big wicket for him and he just looked to bowl in the right areas. Adds that as a player you have to be ready and he has been practicing well. Mentions that Corey Anderson has supported him well and he just likes to keep it simple with his batting and backs his shots. Ends by saying that it is great to be in the top-two and finish on a high note.
3:33 AM IST The Seattle Orcas were put under attack from the start and they weren’t able to recover from the damage dealt. Imad Wasim was the first one to get a breakthrough with Harmeet SIngh getting the big wicket. However, the other batters continued the momentum and took the game away from them. The pacers were targeted while the spinners managed to bowl economically and got some wickets as well. This loss means that the Seattle Orcas will not make the cut for the next stage of the tournament.
3:33 AM IST The San Francisco Unicorns had a roaring start to their innings and put the pressure on the opponents right away. The partnership between Finn Allen and Matthew Short almost sealed the game in their favor. Finn Allen was the aggressor and his onslaught helped the other batters who came after him to bat freely. With valuable contributions from Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Sherfane Rutherford they got closer to the target and Josh Inglis along with Corey Anderson dealt the finishing blow. They have qualified for the playoffs, and with this dominant win, they will raise a lot of expectations.
3:31 AM IST Josh Inglis seals the deal for the San Francisco Unicorns and powers them to a top 2 finish on the points table. They have been absolutely dominant in this innings and with their intent, earned themselves a comprehensive win
