15-year-old Rohini girl had chosen to end her life: Police

Police on Wednesday said they were "almost certain" that the teenager who was found dead at her northwest Delhi home a day earlier had committed suicide.
Ayushi Singh, the daughter of a property dealer, had her father's licensed fire-arm in her hand at a shut flat in Rohini's Sector 2 when she was found to have been shot at.
"She was alone in the flat at the time of the incident. As her family members were not home, foul play has been ruled out," said an officer.
"Her family said she had a bad temper. She may have made the move in anger and chosen not to leave behind a suicide note deliberately," the officer added.
Ayushi's parents informed the police about the incident around 9pm after the 15-year-old did not open the door of the house after several calls.
The Class 9 student was taken to the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital where doctors declared her dead. Later, they conducted a post-mortem.
The police initially tried finding out if her father's weapon had gone off accidently as she fiddled with it. "But we learnt from her parents and their neighbours that she knew how to handle her father's revolver well," the officer said.
The police also reconstructed the events that led to the killer bullet getting lodged in Ayushi's head. "The exercise showed that the barrel of the weapon had been placed squarely on the temple of the victim —a clear indication that the victim had deliberately chosen to end her life," the officer added.
