In two separate accidents, two people were injured at India Gate on Saturday morning.
In the first accident, the ambassador car of a senior officer of All India Radio (AIR) rammed a car being driven by an army colonel.
Both the cars were damaged badly and the colonel's wife suffered injuries.
"Even the colonel suffered minor injuries and both were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. By the time we reached the spot, the couple had shifted to the Army Hospital at Dhaula Kuan.
We have sent our officer at the accident site to get details," said a senior police officer, requesting anonymity, as he isn't authorised to speak to the media.
The Ambassador car was coming from Shastri Bhawan while the colonel was coming from Vijay Chowk.
The accident took place at 8:30am at Rafi Marg.
In the second incident, an i10 car collided with an Esteem car at Rajpath. Although no injury was reported, both the cars got badly damaged. The police said that the traffic light at Rajpath crossing was not working which led to incident.
Meanwhile in another incident, a Wagon R car hit pedestrian in Rohini area of outer Delhi on Friday night.
Three people, who were sleeping on the pavement, suffered injuries and have been admitted at Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital.
