The fifth and final cut-off list for Delhi University (DU) has closed all coveted options for students, except a few colleges, which still have a few seats left.
Sought-after courses, such as B.Com (Honours) and Economics (Honours) were closed in all colleges, except five. While College of Vocational Studies, PGDAV and Acharya Narendra Dev College and Sri Aurobindo (evening) College still have seats in B.Com (Honours), Ramjas is the only college that is still accepting students in Economics (Honours).
The cut-off for the course saw a dip of 0.25%. Some colleges, such as PGDAV, saw withdrawal of admissions following the fourth cut-off list and still have vacancies. "We were cautious. So, we closed admissions after the third list. However, following the fourth list, we saw quite a few cancellations. Now, we have approximately 30 seats in B.Com (Honours) and 60 seats in B.Com (Programme)," said SN Kapoor, Principal, PGDAV College.
Five colleges are still offering BA (Programme), while Sanskrit (Honours) is available in 10 colleges. Other language courses, such as Hindi and English (honours) are available in Kirori Mal College (Hindi), Zakir Husain College (English-CATE) and Janki Devi Memorial College (English-CATE).
While most science courses were full, BSc Life Sciences was still open in Daulat Ram College and Sri Ventakeswara College. Deen Dayal Upadhyay still has seats in Electronics (Honours).
