To match the opulence and grandeur of the opening ceremony, a plethora of performances await you on the last day of the Games.

If sources are to be believed, the closing ceremony will see artistes performing on Bollywood-like grand sets.

Besides, the sky will be illuminated with green lights representing the Green Games. The tricolour will be depicted by the state-of-the-art pyro-techniques (special effects).

Set designers from Bollywood have been roped in to add a dash of their own creativity for the closing day that is touted to be even bigger than the opening ceremony.

"We have come from the Film City in Mumbai. We have been working here for the past two months. After the opening ceremony, we are giving finishing touches to the sets for the closing ceremony," said Ram Lal Yadav, a worker. Yadav, along with 200 others from Mumbai, has been staying at a farmhouse in Chattarpur in Delhi for the past two months designing sets and other props.

Masks and earthenware would be used as props during the martial arts performance, which is expected to be a major attraction.

"We have expertise in designing sets as we do the same work in Bollywood as well. When we were called in here, we did not know it would turn out to be so big," he said.

There is going to be lot of laser and lighting show. A celebratory pyro-work will enthrall the audience, said Bharat Bala, creative designer, closing ceremony. Bollywood music director and singer Shankar Mahadevan will perform with Sunidhi Chauhan and Sukhwinder Singh.

Around 18,000 kg of fireworks will be used to depict the Green Games and the Indian flag, said Christian Howard from Australia. Howard is handling the pyro-works.

Bollywood will be there in its musical form this time.

There will be lot of singers performing in the function, Bharat Bala added.

The ceremony will also see singers Kailash Kher and Zila Khan belting out a medley along with different artists at the grand finale expected to be a big spontaneous event, signifying the world as one big happy family.

The segment, 30 minutes long, is called Universal Love. A 400 strong contingent from Glasgow in Scotland — the next Games host — will also present a 10-minute performance.
