A Delhi serial blasts accused was on Wednesday sent to judicial custody by a city court which also issued a production warrant against six other suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists for their alleged role in the September 13 terror attack.
Mohd Saif, who was brought here on December 25 after grilling by Gujarat and Rajasthan police for his alleged role in Ahmedabad and Jaipur blasts respectively, was today produced before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja, who remanded him to judicial custody till January 21.
The court also sought presence of other accused Zeeshan Ahmed, Zia-Ur-Rehman, Mohd Shakeel, Saquib Nissar, Mohd Sadiq Sheikh and Quamuddin from Ahmedabad police in the September 13 serial blasts case before it on January 21.
Meanwhile, Special Cell of the Delhi police also secured non-bailable warrants against two others -- Mobin Kadir and Iqbal Bhatkal -- who are still absconding, for Janaury 31.
Ahmedabad police had on October 27 secured the custody of five Delhi serial blasts accused from a court here, claiming "clinching" evidence against them in the synchronised terror attacks in Ahmedabad.
They had claimed that the role of the serial blasts accused -- Saif, Zeeshan Ahmad, Shakeel, Zia-ur-Rehman and Saquib Nissar -- in the explosions in Ahmedabad was revealed during interrogation of other suspects.
Rajasthan police had secured custody of accused Saif for probing his alleged involvement in the case registered with Manak Chowk police station under various sections of the IPC and the Explosive Substance Act.
