The bench received three petitions to defer the verdict citing law and order problems and the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
The court on Tuesday passed the order on the application of Ramesh Chandra Tripathi, the defendant of a suit moved on Monday pleading that the title suit verdict, slated to be pronounced on September 24 next, be deferred.
It has been a 16-year-long wait for the verdict, which would decide who owns the land on which the Babri Masjid was located.
The goverment has been gearing up for any law and order problems in the wake of the verdict, with massive security arragement across Uttar Pradesh.
