NK Bagrodia, Dwarka, celebrates annual day. The theme of the event was ‘Satyamev Jayate’ from the ancient scripture ‘Mundaka Upanishad’. Students presented a ballet based on ‘The Four Vedas’. School director Dr SK Bhattacharya delivered the welcome speech, while principal Dr Rajee N. Kumar presented the annual report, highlighting the achievements of the school.
The chief guest Prof. Dilip K. Bandyopadhyay and the guest of honour Dr SC Sharma, appreciated the efforts of students. School chairperson Pushpa Devi Bagrodiaji and Master Raghav Bagrodia released the school magazine ‘Oasis’ 2011.
Pathways World School, Aravali, Gurgaon, celebrated its eighth Founder’s Day. Brig. Desmond E. Hayde, Mahavir Chakra, was the chief guest on day one. On day two, the chief guests were former Indian Ambassador to Moscow PP Shukla and artist Arpana Caur. Chairman Pramod Jain, three founder directors Praveen Jain, Prabhat Jain and Prashant Jain and school director Dr Sarvesh Naidu were also present. The programme included an exhibition ‘Smriti Path’ which showcased the learning process of students through a display of process portfolios, reflection logs, videos, picture galleries, art and project work, etc. The students performed a show ‘Tasher Desh’.
Vivekanand International School, I.P. Extension, celebrated its winter carnival. Shri RL Ahuja, chairman of the school, inaugurated the event. The carnival had stalls of games, activities, competitions and pavilion of states depicting their culture. It also included food stalls.
Ram-Eesh International School, Greater Noida, organised the Annual Athletic meet. Over 2,000 students participated in it. The function was presided over by Dr BS Khandelwal, former chairperson of CBSE, who was the chief guest at the occasion. Mr Rajeev Sharma, president, Sharmex, USA, and Dr AK Sharma former director of the NCERT were the guests of honour. Dr RC Sharma, chairperson of Ram-Eesh Institutions spoke on the importance of sports and discipline in education. Principal Shikha Singh, presented the school’s annual report. Pratibha Sharma, MD, Ram-Eesh Institutions, appreciated the efforts of the school to nurture the students with value-based education.
