Are Delhiites always overdressed? Do they really have a loud sense of fashion that needs to be toned down?

They’re big time show-offs!

Garima Singhal, student: Delhiites aren’t really loud with their fashion sense. They just like following trends inspired from movies, but they often tend to goof up. Some of them do come out as overdressed jokers to me though.
Kanika Bhatia, student: You can’t deny that Delhi has many BTMs. But, overdressing is for people who seek attention, and Delhiites don’t need to seek attention, as they get it wherever they go due to their attitude.
Utfal Arora, student: Most Delhiites prefer to shop from markets like Sarojini Nagar and Janpath, which offer all over the top stuff. Hence, Delhiites lack basics in their wardrobe and end up looking overdressed.
Sheena, student: I noticed this trend when I was 18. It was just for fun. When you can’t afford a sports car, you have to do something crazy to feel good. Some may consider it a show-off, but for young people, it’s an okay thing.
Apoorva Choudhary: Delhiites like to seek attention and show-off, whether its through clothes or something else. Most of them end up wearing clothes that make them look and feel uncomfortable.

No, they are sophisticated!
Vishakha Singh, a regular to Mumbai: No! Delhi has a much sophisticated dressing sense and they are not loud at all. If people call Delhi girls loud, then they must visit the streets of Mumbai.

Next week’s question
Metro, train or bus, why can’t Delhiites wait for their turn? Why the, me first, theory works for them and they can’t be in queue?
