Bedi also inaugurated her election office in Krishna Nagar early in the morning where union minister Harsh Vardhan said she would win with a record margin.
“Delhi has firm faith in the leadership of the BJP and we will win with big margins,” Bedi said in her roadshow and also assured people of safety and security in the city with proper civic amenities.
The roadshow, starting from Sector 1 crossing, went through Sectors 6,10, 22, 23, 12, 14 and 18 among others, leaving traffic snarls in its wake. In fact, like the former cop she is, on a few occasions, Bedi was seen trying to manage the traffic from the top of the open jeep.
As she brandished the victory sign, slogans such as “desh chala Modi ke saath, dilli chalegi Bedi ke saath” were raised. With availability of drinking water being a major issue in the Dwarka subcity, another slogan raised by Bedi supporters was, “Bedi ko CM banana hai, Dwarka mein paani lana hai”.
The BJP’s chief ministerial nominee said the central government is working with the Haryana government to end the water woes of Dwarka.
Ruchi Sethi, a resident of Sector 6 Dwarka, was watching the roadshow with scores of cars and two wheelers passing by her housing society. “I hope if she wins she does take up the issue of drinking water of Dwarka and finds a quick and lasting solution for it,” she said.
“I am like a resident of Dwarka and once I become the CM my special focus will be on Dwarka. I will always be easily accessible to the residents,” Bedi told the locals during her roadshow. After Dwarka, Bedi participated in another roadshow in Rani Bagh.
