BJP must name PM candidate: Jethmalani
BJP Rajya Sabha member Ram Jethmalani wants the party to project its prime ministerial candidate before the Lok Sabha polls and also to decide on a shadow cabinet in advance, part of which should be experts in various fields who could be brought in through the Rajya Sabha.
BJP Rajya Sabha member Ram Jethmalani wants the party to project its prime ministerial candidate before the Lok Sabha polls and also to decide on a shadow cabinet in advance, part of which should be experts in various fields who could be brought in through the Rajya Sabha.
Writing to party president Nitin Gadkari at the time of the recent national council of the BJP, Jethmalani had tongues wagging when he extolled Narendra Modi “whose integrity and administrative ability are not in doubt”, saying he was victim of a diabolic propaganda to show him as a bigot.
However, Jethmalani’s letter closes with a plea for secularism and addresses the concerns of minorities. It adds that BJP leaders should ensure there are no skeletons in their cupboards.
