Eyeing the large number of those who did not land a flat in the DDA housing scheme, private builders have planned extensive advertisement campaigns on FM radio channels to lure home-buyers.
Promising them “better options”, top builders are campaigning vigorously on the radio to reach out to the unsuccessful aspirants.
“We have various projects coming up in the NCR, with multiple facilities and prime locations. Unlike the government agencies we also provide builder services including safety, good internal connectivity and quick solutions to the residents,” said a spokesperson for the Sikka group.
Over 10 lakh people had applied for 25,040 flats in the DDA scheme, draw of lots for which was held on Tuesday.
“No doubt that private builders provide better housing facilities and unlike the five-year restriction on sale at DDA housing projects, we have one-year freeze,” said a spokesperson for the Raheja group.
In fact, the advertisements had started being broadcast on radio channels even before the draw of lots was announced.
Executives at various advertisement firms confirmed that various builders have contacted them to attract potential home buyers, specially those who would not land a flat in the DDA housing scheme.
