Can’t complete it? Cover it up!
Desperate times call for desperate measures. With less than 18 days left for the Commonwealth Games, the organising committee (OC) has gone into a damage control mode. Unable to complete work on a number of buildings, structures and slum clusters, it has started using wall wraps to cover them up.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. With less than 18 days left for the Commonwealth Games, the organising committee (OC) has gone into a damage control mode.
Unable to complete work on a number of buildings, structures and slum clusters, it has started using wall wraps to cover them up.
The OC is spending Rs 20 crore on covering the dilapidated buildings, bridges, subways, underpasses, slum clusters, etc.
The work has been contracted to four private firms that have been assigned different areas to work on.
These wall wraps will also create a buzz for the Games and have been put up in Connaught Place to hide the incomplete subways.
Besides Connaught Place, wall wraps have been used to cover encroachments barely 500 metres away from RK Khanna stadium.
In addition to this, a number of slum clusters are also being hidden by these wall wraps.
One such wall wrap has been put up in the Nizammddin area.
