Many of the students taking the exam felt that the question paper was replete with tricky queries and difficult to complete within the stipulated three hours. There were a few changes in the question pattern as well.

“It was a lengthy paper and the questions were tricky. We had no time to crosscheck answers. There was also some noticeable change in the question pattern,” said Zenia Taluja, who took the exam.

Schools confirmed that students were disappointed with the paper.

“Most of our students, and also those of Salwan Public School who took the exam here, complained that the paper was too long,” said Mala Gupta, in charge of exams at Springdales School, Pusa Road.

CBSE officials, however, denied having received any complaints, adding that there was “nothing wrong” with the paper.

“We have an observation committee for the board exams and they did not find anything wrong with the paper. If teachers and principals have any complaint, then they should contact us,” said CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi.
