If you missed watching the Opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games, don't miss out on the closing ceremony.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, after a high level meeting, has allowed the use of helicopters to telecast live the closing ceremony and select events.
The decision means viewers will be able to see aerial shots of the Capital.
Senior government sources told HT that No-Fly areas, such as Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, North and South Blocks and the Prime Minister's residence will continue to be out of bounds.
The cycling event, for which aerial coverage is being permitted, will be held on Sunday, while the marathon and the closing ceremony are scheduled for October 14.
Earlier, Commonwealth Games Federation chief Mike Fennell had said the aerial shots of Delhi will be a "scenic appearance" and its broadcast all over the world would be a "fantastic" promotion of the city.
Meanwhile, the government is expecting several heads of states to be present for the closing ceremony.
"Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has confirmed his participation in the closing ceremony. We are expecting attendance of several more heads of state," an official said.
