A Delhi court on Friday ordered registration of a criminal case against two senior city police officers on a complaint that they allegedly forged official records to implicate a police inspector in a corruption case.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav ordered registration of a First Information Report against Joint Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) (JCP) N Dileep Kumar and former Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Anti Corruption Branch Delhi government I D Shukla and others.
The complaint under CrPC was filed by K G Tyagi, a former crime branch inspector.
The court ordered that the matter would be investigated by Special Cell of Delhi Police and directed it to file a report on January 10.
Tyagi, in his complaint, alleged that the officials implicated him in a corruption case and registered an FIR against him on October 17, 2008 leading to his arrest and suspension from the job.
He alleged that they destroyed the electronic evidence with regard to intercepted conversations in the matter.
Tyagi also accused them of committing forgery in official records to strengthen their case.
A case was registered against Tyagi by the Anti Corruption Branch alleging that he was demanding over Rs 20 lakh from Abhinav Krishna Shrivastava, son of a murder accused, for not invoking stringent MCOCA against his father.
