‘Dashavtar’ performed at ANS school

ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar, presented ballet 'DASHAVTAR' at ICCR Building, Azad Bhavan, ITO. The function started with lamp lighting by Arvinder Singh, Minister of Transport and Education, Delhi, S.K Goel, Director ICCR, Manica, Director ICWA, Padmashree Shovna Narayan, PK Singh, IBES Deputy Director (E) Akashwani of Doordarshan, chairman KL Luthra and manager Rajiv Nayan. Principal Sonia Luthra appraised the gathering on 'DASHAVTAR' and said ASN has been a promoter of Indian culture. Chief guest minister Arvinder Singh appreciated the efforts taken for the presentation of ballet. SK Goel, Director ICCR, insisted on holistic development of children. The event ended with a vote of thanks.

Delhi Public School, Rohini
The school celebrated 150th birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore at the Shri Ram Centre. The chief guest for the occasion was Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit. Guests of honour were Ashok Chandra, chairman, Delhi Public School Society, Shovana Narayan, chairperson, Managing Committee, DPS Rohini, Rear Admiral M.M Chopra, vice chairman, DPS Society, and Dr Usha Luthra, vice chairperson, Managing Committee, DPS Rohini. Principal Rita Sen talked about the contributions of Tagore, who became internationally recognized as a spiritual poet during his lifetime. The highlight of the evening was a dance drama, 'Ananya' - a celebration of womanhood through four characters symbolic of grace, power, beauty and compassion followed by songs and poems.

NK Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka
The school celebrated 'Trishna' - the annual school festival, which provides a platform for students to show their talents and creativity through a wide spectrum of activities. The festival was inaugurated by Col. Vijay Khedekar, Director Communications, Signals, Army Headquarters. The event kick started with lighting of a lamp. Principal Dr. Rajee N. Kumar welcomed the participants and judges. Events included 'Fantasia', English poem recitation, 'Weaving a story', English story telling competition, 'Techno canvas', MS paint competition, 'Sufiyana', a Sufi group song competition, etc. The closing ceremony was graced by chairperson Pushpa Deviji Bagrodia

Bhatnagar International School, Vasant Kunj
The school organised 'Timeless Treasure' wherein students apprised the audience about internationally acclaimed legends of the nation. The objective behind the declamation, as perceived by Dr VK Bhatnagar, founder chairman, was to acquaint students with renowned Indians who have shaped and moulded our rich heritage and culture. Internationally acclaimed Indian personalities were talked about.
