For Monday, the weatherman has predicted a mist/shallow fog in the morning and partly cloudy sky. A mist cover was seen in the early hours but it gave way to a shining sun as the day progressed on Sunday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal while the minimum was recorded at 8.8 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal, a Met official said.
"It was a little windy but I brought my family for an outing to enjoy the bright sunny afternoon," said Uma Shashi Kumar, enjoying the sun at the Palika Bazar lawns.
On Saturday Delhi had recorded 24.0 (maximum) and 7.7 degrees Celsius (minimum), with a bright sunny day for most of the time, a trend that the Met officials said would be seen for next two-three days. The mean minimum for the month of January is 7.3 degree Celsius while the mean maximum is 21.1 degrees.
Delhi had experienced harsh winter with maximum temperature recorded at 11 degrees Celsius on January 9, the lowest maximum in last five years.
