Environmental rally at Maharaja Aggarsain Adarsh Public School, Pitampura

In their ongoing efforts to train students to become responsible citizens, Maharaja Aggarsain Adarsh Public School, Pitampura recently won a great honour from the Governor of Orissa for the successful accomplishment of the Grand Banyan Project with the underlying aim of providing millions of notebooks to the underprivileged students under the guidance of teachers Mona, Sandhya and Rashmi.
Newspaper scrap was collected in bulks and sent to recycling units to help the students understand the importance of recycling. In line with the same objective, earth day was celebrated where students marched in a rally till Pitam Pura Metro Station carrying banners and placards. They gifted handmade paper bags to people with the logo 'go green'. The event was a grand success due to the tireless efforts of teachers Neha, Shalini, Shyamashree, Kavita and the senior incharge Neeru V Rajan.
Shaheed Rajpal D.A.V Public School, Dayanand Vihar organised DISC-MUN (D.A.V Intraschool Student's Conference- Model United Nations). The agenda of the day was 'Prevention of Links between organised crimes and terrorism in developing countries'. Dr. N. K. Uberoi, vice president of DAV College Committee and the vice chairman of the school along with K.L Khurana, the manager of the school graced the occasion. The young delegates exuded great confidence while they expressed their concern over the threat of terrorism which looms large over the developing nations.
Dr Uberoi congratulated the principal and the teachers for providing students a platform to develop an understanding of international concerns and think globally. Principal Renu Laroiya lauded the students for their critical understanding of the concerning issues to both developing and developed countries and confidently giving expression to their thoughts.
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj participated in 'Postcards from Paris IV', organised by the Delhi Public School International, under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society. Twenty five schools from Delhi and NCR region participated in the event. In extempore speaking, the school was awarded the second position. DPS, Vasant Kunj was awarded the first runners -up trophy.
Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka hosted the Annual Inter-School Fiesta. The event saw enthusiastic participation from twenty six schools across Delhi & NCR. The students took part in math-o-fun, paint-o-mania, tech smart, rhythmic yoga and web designing. The fiesta culminated with the prize distribution ceremony. The school chairman Sailander Solanki and principal Nita Arora gave away the trophies. The principal also applauded the efforts of each participant as they showcased their mettle in the event.
The rolling trophy was given to Venkateshwar International School, Sec 10,Dwarka. The guests of honour were Capt. Ishwar Singh, advisor, Venkateshwar Group of Schools and Neeta Rastogi, principal, Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls. The guests appreciated the efforts of all participating schools.
