One person has been arrested and fake currency notes with face value of Rs 3.51 lakh seized from his possession, police said on Wednesday.

“Vinod alias Amit, 33, presently residing at Mangolpuri and a permanent resident of Shaheed Park in Meerut Cantt, was arrested on the instance of another accused Alka Grover —both part of an organised gang involved in circulation of fake Indian currency notes,” a police official said. Police have recovered 600 fake Rs 500 currency, among others, from his possession.
