Two months' pregnant Beenu Gole spent Thursday night at the second floor of AIIMS trauma centre to get a glimpse of her younger sister Anu Gole, who was shot at by the security guard of her office.
It was Beenu who had brought her from Kerala a year ago after Anu's husband died of cancer. Beenu who works with Escorts hospital was informed about the incident by a staff of Muthoot finance.
"We live together and as usual she left for office on Thursday morning. The incident has left us shocked and we just hope she will be able to recover," Beenu said. Doctors treating Anu said she was critical.
"We have informed our parents and they are on their way. My husband and I are here to look after her. We managed to see her once in the morning but we have not been allowed to meet her," she further said.
Nidhi, another employee who got injured in the shoot-out is also in the hospital. Nidhi, a native of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana, was about to get married and had been working with company for the past six months, police said.
Jomesh TB (26), who died in the shooting, had come to Delhi last year from Kannur in Kerala to make a successful career for himself.
A senior assistant with Muthoot finance, Jomesh was staying with his twin brother Joshi TB, who is a male nurse at a private hospital in Delhi.
"He left for work as usual but didn't return in the evening. The incident has left us devastated," said his shattered brother.
The mortuary at AIIMS trauma centre, where Jomesh's body lay for postmortem, was crowded with Jomesh's friends who had come to be with an inconsolable Joshi.
Meanwhile the family of the second victim, Krishna, is expected to reach Delhi from Kerala in the evening.
Krishna had come to Delhi from Kerala for a 15-day training programme and Thursday was his last day at the Delhi office.
