Information and broadcasting minister Manish Tewari hit out at the BJP for adopting “double standards” on the issue of CBI and said it should first clarify whether it has faith in the investigating agency or not.

Reacting to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on “misuse” of CBI by the government, Tewari said, “The BJP adopts double standards on the issue of CBI.

In Haren Pandya case the BJP has a different stand, in some other case it has a different stand. The BJP should first decide on whether they have confidence in CBI or not.”

“CBI is probling all fake encounters on court directions,” he added.
