Panchkula’s government schools finished second with an overall pass percentage of 70.56 per cent.

“This is the first time that more than 90 per cent students from the government schools have cleared the Class X exams. We will now strive hard to sustain it,” Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely.

The success rate has increased by 1.55 per cent this year from last year’s 89.44 per cent. This year 132,020 students from 851 government schools in Delhi had taken the Class 10 exams. Out of this, 120,120 students qualified for Class XI.

The minister said 100 per cent students managed to clear the exams in 166 schools while the success rate was more than 90 per cent in 609 other schools. Only 40.20 per cent students from government-run institutions had managed to clear Class 10 exams in 2000-2001.
