Rural development minister Jairam Ramesh is set to go for a three-day tour to West Bengal from Monday.
He will visit two naxal-affected districts and discuss implementation of the rural employment guarantee scheme with the state government.
Ramesh is set to visit Bankura and Purulia after the two districts were included in the Centre's Integrated Action Programme for the Maoist-hit districts.
The visit to Naxal-hit areas of the state comes in the backdrop of the CPI(Maoist) blaming him, among others, for the killing of its leader, Koteswarlu alias Kishenji. In a statement issued earlier this month, the CPI(Maoist) politburo said, "the ruling clique of this country led by Sonia-Manmohan-Chidambaram-Pranab-Jairam colluded with West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and killed him in the cruelest manner."
