Justice will soon roll on the wheels to reach the underprivileged.

The first regular adjudicatory mobile court in the country is scheduled to be inaugurated on August 4 at Punhana village in Haryana’s Mewat region. A well-equipped bus will act as the courtroom catering to 98 villages.

Why Mewat? Poverty and low literacy rate (female 0.2% and male 22%) have put the area on top of the list, said Justice Vijender Jain, chief justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The mobile courtroom, open for four days a week, will will settle disputes on the pattern of a regular court.
