Powerful corporates and powerful men are fighting each other over the 2G spectrum allocation row -- in public and through open letters. Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar fired the first salvo when he, in an open letter, accused Tata group chief Ratan Tata of unfairly gaining from 2G policy. Tata responded by writing an open letter to Chandrasekhar and accusing him of having vested political interests in the controversy. Chandrasekhar wrote again, accusing Tata of making personal attacks on him. Tata Teleservices have now replied to Rajya Sabha MP. The letters war may continue. Here are the choicest quotes and more about the letters till now.
"In my humble opinion, evidence suggests that the Tatas have benefited from out-of-turn spectrum allocation." Chandrasekhar in his first letter.
"Your affiliation with a particular political party is well known and it appears that their political aspirations and their endeavor to embarrass the Prime Minister and the ruling party." Tata's response to Chandrasekhar's letter.
"Your response is a typical one that ducks the main issues and instead attempts to shoot the messenger!" Chandrasekhar's rebuttal to Tata.
"We however, fail to understand your manufactured assumption that Tata holds 3-4 times more efficient than GSM operators. This bears no reference or logic." Tata Teleservices' response to Chandrasekhara.
